The Amanda Effect values your privacy. This policy explains what limited information we collect and how it's used. This site is designed for exploration, reflection, and connection—not for harvesting data.

What We Collect

  • Content you voluntarily submit through the Contact page.
  • This includes:
    • Why it matters
    • Moment I want to remember
    • What you want to save

Important: No names, email addresses, or personal identification are requested or stored. Please do not enter any personal information.

Server Logs: Like most websites, our server automatically logs basic technical details such as IP address, browser type, and timestamp when pages are accessed. These logs are standard and used only for security and maintenance. They are not used for profiling, analytics, or shared with any third parties.

Cookies

This site may use minimal, standard session cookies (such as PHPSESSID) required for basic site functionality. These are not used for tracking or analytics.

Local Storage & Session Data

This site uses your browser’s local storage and session storage to enhance your interaction with the experience. These features allow Amanda to:

  • Track what parts of the story you’ve discovered
  • Trigger time-based or progress-based moments
  • Preserve ephemeral elements like audio unlocks, found terminals, or message visibility

All of this data remains on your device and is never transmitted to a server. It is not used for analytics, advertising, or any form of behavioral profiling.

You can delete this stored data at any time by clearing your browser’s site storage or local data for The Amanda Effect.

How Submissions Are Used

Any moment submitted through the contact form may be featured on the site as part of The Amanda Effect experience. Submission implies consent to publish it publicly on the site.

Moments submitted are not supplied to third-parties or AI services and solely reside on this site.
